I have now started the Accreditation for Hygge in the Early years and will be working towards becoming a Hygge Accredited setting. This Danish concept emphasizes finding well-being and contentment in the simple pleasures of everyday life. Creating a hygge environment in an early year’s setting can foster feelings of coziness, happiness, and familiarity, promoting a sense of security and well-being for children. By incorporating the core elements of hygge, practitioners can create a calm and nurturing atmosphere that encourages children’s engagement, self-confidence, and positive social interactions. I am looking forward to traveling this journey over the coming year
